    Anyone who claims themselves to be Christian needs to read this book, and be able to explain for themselves how the bible should be understood when compared against the problems this book details I can t say that it covers every mistake the bible makes, but it does a great job of showing the self contradictions It shows where many of the apostles, acting as jesus s proxy, misquoted the old testament It also does a wonderful job of revealing some of the myths that Christians have created aroun Anyone who claims themselves to be Christian needs to read this book, and be able to explain for themselves how the bible should be understood when compared against the problems this book details I can t say that it covers every mistake the bible makes, but it does a great job of showing the self contradictions It shows where many of the apostles, acting as jesus s proxy, misquoted the old testament It also does a wonderful job of revealing some of the myths that Christians have created around their religion taht are not found in the bible for instance, the belief that the old testament can be ignored because the new testament replaced it This book debunks that myth by showing exactly where jesus himself said that he did not come to replace the old laws, but to add to them meaning, in context of the bible, that the old testament should still be obeyedand things like shell fish are an obomination, children who sass their parents should be stoned to death, along with midgets and homosexuals.For anyone who is not christian but is interested in learningabout it, this book serves as a wonderful balance for all of the lying evangelical tripe that can be found in the religion aisle of your local bookstore For anyone who enjoys debating christians about their own beliefs, this is a must have reference
